J. Lorne Braithwaite.

J. LORNE BRAITHWAITE
Chief Executive Officer

J. Lorne Braithwaite is an entrepreneurial developer and industry leader in enclosed regional mall real estate and retailing across Canada. He has also done extensive commercial real estate development work internationally in Dubai and China.

In April 2009, Lorne was appointed as CEO of the new Build Toronto real estate venture. He was Founder, Chairman, President and CEO of Cambridge Shopping Centres (now Ivanhoe Cambridge), where he amassed 40 large enclosed malls after doing a leveraged management buyout in 1980. Internationally, he served as the Worldwide Chairman of the International Council of Shopping Centres 1995-1996. He was President of the Canadian Institute of Public and Private Real Estate Companies (CIPREC) from 1995-1997. He chairs the Investment Advisory Committee for the Canada Post Pension Plan and is a director of both Enbridge Inc. and Bata Shoe Corporation Worldwide. He is a recipient of the University of Alberta Alumni Recognition Award, the University of Alberta's Wall of Fame Award and the NAIOP 2005 Award in Real Estate Excellence - Lifetime Achievement Honouree.

Lorne holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.


Derek Ballantyne.

DEREK BALLANTYNE
Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, Operations

Derek Ballantyne is a results-oriented executive with more than three decades of business and public sector experience including expertise in large capital project delivery, project consulting and manufacturing. As Chief Executive Officer of the Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC), Derek led Canada's largest landlord in managing 58,500 units of social and market housing valued at over $6 billion, and in the delivery of Canada's largest housing redevelopment initiative.

Derek effectively manages organizations of scale and complexity while achieving a broad range of public objectives. As TCHC's CEO, he applied innovative funding sources including joint ventures and accessing the bond market through a $255 million private placement for development projects such as the revitalization of Donmount Court and Regent Park. Derek has greatly contributed to both the design and implementation of social housing programs in Ontario, was founding member of the Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association, Chair of Raising the Roof, and is a director of the Social Housing Services Corporation. He has a Bachelor of Arts with a Geography Major from Carleton University in Ottawa.

As COO and Executive Vice President of Operations for Build Toronto, Derek will oversee property services and land/asset acquisition, asset management and assist the Toronto Port Lands Company.


Winston Young.

WINSTON YOUNG
Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President

Winston Young is an innovative financial executive who excels in strategic and financial planning with extensive business experience in both the private and public sector. A chartered accountant, he has more than a decade of real estate and development experience.

Winston has held various senior finance positions including Vice President, Finance and Controller at Famous Players Inc., and during its megaplex theater expansion phase, Winston was Vice President, Business Planning. He has also served as Director, Planning at Markborough Properties Inc.

Winston previously worked with the firms Ernst & Young and Richter & Partners Inc. in auditing and financial consulting. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Toronto and an MBA from York University. Winston is a director of the board of the International Institute of Business Analysis. He was also appointed a director of the board of Ontario Place Corporation and serves as the Chair of two audit committees. Winston also gives back to the community by serving in the mentorship programs at the Schulich School of Business and Rotman School of Management.

As Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, Winston is responsible for finance and treasury as well as procurement and information technology services. Winston is also Acting CFO for Invest Toronto as well as the CFO for TEDCO, now operating as the Toronto Port Lands Company.


Don Logie.

DON LOGIE
Senior Vice President, Development

Don Logie is a senior real estate executive with extensive experience in the development and operation of commercial, industrial and residential real estate with particular emphasis on retail, office and mixed use developments.

He has actively directed the development of major shopping and power centres, and the redevelopment and renovation of mixed use downtown office and retail complexes, suburban malls and offices in most provinces across Canada. Don has also been responsible for industrial developments in Ontario, the USA and Mexico. He is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario and of the International Conference of Shopping Centres.

Prior to joining Build Toronto, Don was Acting President and CEO as well as Vice President, Development for the City of Toronto Economic Development Corporation (TEDCO). As Senior Vice President, Development, Don is responsible for development, construction, planning and leasing.


John Macintyre.

JOHN MACINTYRE
Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs

John Macintyre has more than three decades of government and business experience, holding senior policy and operational roles in both the amalgamated City of Toronto and the former City of Etobicoke. He was also a Vice President of the City of Toronto Economic Development Corporation (TEDCO).

John is very active in the Toronto community as a director for the Toronto Blue Jays Charitable Foundation, chair of the management committee for the Humber Arboretum, a cabinet chair for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and is the regional chair for the Governor General's Canadian Leadership Conference. He is also former chair of Parks and Recreation Ontario and a former member of the Toronto Grant Review Team for the Ontario Trillium Foundation. John holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from York University.

Prior to his appointment at Build Toronto, John was the Acting CEO of Invest Toronto developing and executing their start-up strategy. As Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, John is responsible for Human Resources, Communications, Public Affairs, Stakeholder and Industry Liaison, Legal and Corporate Governance.
